  • Tell Your Story

No matter where all of us old “Xangans” end up, for those of us in the Christian community we need to continue to tell our story! … And we need to tell the TRUTH of our story, the good, the bad, the indifferent, because you know what…. God hates a “poser”! He called them “white washed tombs full of dead men’s bones.” When we put a plastic christian mask on.. the light of Christ is never going to shine through that! Be “for real” and learn to deal not only with real pain and disappointment in yourself but the pain and scars of others. We ALL have a story….

    Blessings, Bee

“We must learn to tell the story of our lives–how we impact others, how we’ve been damaged by others, how we feel about God–in order to disrupt the sinful attitudes and practices that still remain.  Telling our stories requires us to face painful truths about ourselves.  And once we’ve faced those truths, we will again feel the noble passions to love, to be, and to worship, passions planted in our hearts by God’s Spirit.”   - Larry Crabb

  • You got that right, Bee, we all have a story and I’ve posted quite a lot of mine here on Xanga. Without Jesus, I would have never made it to where I am today. He has never left me or forsaken me — Praise God. I pray others are the better after reading my testimonies of God’s mercy and grace in my life. Carolyn

  • There is no doubt in my mind you have been an encouragement to many over all these years.

  • Amen, my friend!! That is a good word for us, and a great quote!! And I have to add, that both you, and Carolyn, have been a blessing and an encouragement to me over the years … and there’s no reason for that to ever end!! So glad to see you around here again, Bee! ;)   I’ve missed your ‘newsy/current events’ posts and am wondering if by chance you’ll be moving with Xanga to WordPress … that is, if they reach their goal!!

In the event they do not, I have already set up a site in order to ‘begin again’, so to speak. I think this has all served to get me blogging again … I’ve sure missed it, and even more so, the closeness I’ve had my small circle of friends … (glad that most are on Facebook with me, too!) … I also don’t want to lose touch with the other friends I have on here who are not on Facebook.  Nope, Facebook just isn’t the same. I will miss Xanga as well as the ease of sharing and communicating with one another here by way of the private messages. I don’t believe WordPress has the ability to do that, then again, I’m still learning my way around there … yes, I did start an account just in case they do transfer. :)

I also started one on Blogger, to see how that platform worked, and I think that’s where I’m going to ‘hang my hat’ for now … it’s a bit easier to maneuver around in, and I do have a photography site there, as well. I will leave you the link to ‘threads of faith’, below, so when you get a chance, do come visit … leave a comment, too! I made it look like my page here on Xanga .. thought I might not miss it here, so much! Lol! I’m not sure, Bee, but you may have to open a Blogger account to comment though. I have it set so that only registered users can comment, but give it a try … I’m still learning the ropes on the privacy issues there, but setting one up is very easy to do, and, I would love to see you continue to share like you have on here over the years!  I’ve been learning a lot over there with both my accounts now, so if you do decide to set one up and have any questions, let me know. I’m helping a couple of other friends, from Xanga, set theirs up, too.

Let me know when you get this … send me a message either here, or on Facebook. Not sure I’ll get back here to your page to see a reply, and I never have seen a way to know that someone has replied to a comment on here! On Blogger they send you an email to let you know, which is nice. You have a blessed week, Bee, and continue on sharing your story!

    Hugs to you,
    ~ Deborah <><

  • Hey… we are still here, at least for a little bit. I am not sure how xanga is doing and if they are close to their goal or not. I REALLY need to get off the dime and get our new blog up and going, it is about half way done! So glad you are continuing to blog and speak out for Christ Deborah! You have been a blessing to this community! <3 @Threads_of_Faith -
