| Global Currency Talk...
Most of the world leaders feel that a unified world currency is what we need... it appears just a matter of time before this become a reality.
Soberly, Bee
(Quote from Breit Bart News)
"Even if Russia's call for a global currency failed to gain much
traction at a G8 summit, President Dmitry Medvedev took home a coin
meant to symbolize that the dream may one day come true.
The Russian leader proudly displayed the coin, which bears the English
words "United Future World Currency", to journalists after the summit
wrapped up in the quake-hit Italian town of L'Aquila.
Medvedev said that although the coin, which resembled a euro and
featured the image of five leaves, was just a gift given to leaders it
showed that people were beginning to think seriously about a new global
currency.
"In all likelihood something similar could appear and it could be held
in your hand and used as a means of payment," he told reporters. "This
is the international currency."
Russia, along with China, has been a vocal proponent of diversifying
the global currency system away from the dollar, which has dominated
global finance and commerce since the end of World War II.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the summit joined the band in
favour of dumping the dollar as the international currency of
reference, insisting that "we cannot stick with just one single
currency."

| Flaked!
Well it looks like the Ethiopian officials flaked-out. We may never know if the Ark really still exists or not. To be continued....... maybe. Bee | | |
| Today is the Day....
Today is supposed to be the day of the unveiling of the Ark of the
Covenant... or at least the announcement. I hope we can get some "Ark" news today amidst all of the Michael Jackson stuff, (which
was btw I think a sad end to a tragic life... but that is another
story.)
I came across another theory concerning the Ark. It is the theory that
Israel may secretly have it already... this comes from a fellow named
Grant Jeffrey, (I am not very familiar with him, but below is what he
says.....)
Also, they interviewed a fellow who helped with Ron Wyatt's search for
the Ark. He said he didn't think the Ark was taken to Jerusalem
because God dwelt on the "mercy seat"... and he would not be dwelling
on a "replica", so he essentially is saying he doesn't think it has
been found yet.
Now, I do not think that God is still "dwelling on the mercy seat" of
the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark was only "a picture of Christ." It
was an object lesson so to speak to point the Children of Israel to
their coming Messiah.... The veil of the temple was torn from top to
bottom at the crucifixion and all mercy and forgiveness of sin resides
in the shed blood of Christ the Messiah who died that we may gain
access to the Holy of Holies where God dwelt.
But if indeed... they do have the original Ark with the actual Ten
Commandments and the other contents... there is no doubt something HUGE
is going on, not only in archaeology, but in the Spirit realm also!
Later... Bee
"However, Grant Jeffrey, host of TBN's Bible Prophecy Revealed and
well-known author of "Armageddon: Appointment With Destiny," does not
believe claims that the Ark is in Ethiopia. He told WND he spoke extensively with Robert Thompson, former adviser to former Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie.
Jeffrey said Thompson told him the Ark of the Covenant had been taken
to Ethiopia by Menelik, purported son of the Queen of Sheba and King
Solomon. When Menelik became emperor, he claims royal priests entrusted
him with the Ark of the Covenant because King Solomon was slipping into
apostasy. A replica was then left behind in Israel.
"The Ethiopian royal chronicles suggest that for 3,000 years, they had
been guarding the ark, knowing that it had to go back to Israel
eventually," Jeffrey said.
He claims that after the Ethiopian civil war, Israel sent in a
group of commandos from the tribe of Levi and the carried the Ark onto
a plane and back to Israel in 1991.
"It is being held there secretly, waiting in the eyes of the religious
leaders of Israel, for a supernatural signal from God to rebuild the
temple," he said. "They are not going to do it before that. When that
happens, they will bring the Ark into that temple."
Tennessee historian and "Time is the Ally of Deceit" author Richard
Rives, searched for the Ark and participated in excavations beneath
Mount Moriah outside the walls of ancient Jerusalem. His group was
trying to verify claims by relic hunter Ron Wyatt that he actually saw
the Ark there several decades ago after tunneling through a small
passageway.
While they found Roman ruins from the first century, Rives told WND
they were unsuccessful in confirming Wyatt's account. Nonetheless,
Rives does not believe the story of Menelik obtaining the artifact or
that Ethiopia ever had the real Ark.
"God's presence was on the mercy seat. That was the throne of God," he said.
If the account were accurate, Rives said God would have been dwelling on an Ark replica in Jerusalem.
"I just don't believe they could have persuaded him to sit on a fake Ark of the Covenant," he said.
Many theories exist about the ultimate fate of the Ark, including that
it has been hidden in a still unknown location, it was destroyed by
enemies of the Israelites, taken by Egyptian invaders to Egypt or
removed by divine intervention.
Cornuke said Ethiopians claim their purported Ark is kept in a large
stone sarcophagus lined in ornately hammered silver. The Ark itself is
made of acacia wood and laminated with a thin veneer of gold. The mercy
seat sits atop the Ark and is made of pure, hammered gold and includes
two cherubim facing one another.

| Ark of the Covenant Unveiled?
Now... this little news blurb was interesting!! Especially in light of the fact that the Ethiopians believe that they will present the Ark of the Covenant to the Messiah when He comes to reign on the Temple Mount. Some use the passage in Isaiah 18:7 to confirm that. I am not sure what to think about it... but I guess time will tell!
Keep Watchin', Bee
"The patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia says he will announce
to the world Friday the unveiling of the Ark of the Covenant, perhaps
the world's most prized archaeological and spiritual artifact, which he
says has been hidden away in a church in his country for millennia,
according to the Italian news agency Adnkronos.
Abuna Pauolos,
in Italy for a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI this week, told the news
agency, "Soon the world will be able to admire the Ark of the Covenant
described in the Bible as the container of the tablets of the law that
God delivered to Moses and the center of searches and studies for
centuries."
The announcement is expected to be made at 2 p.m.
Italian time from the Hotel Aldrovandi in Rome. Pauolos will reportedly
be accompanied by Prince Aklile Berhan Makonnen Haile Sellassie and
Duke Amedeo D'Acosta."

| UN Flag over Holy Sites
Hmm... back in the dark recesses of my news links, I had overlooked
something. It has been gnawing at me for the last few days and now
after hearing Obama's speech in Cairo I think I know why. Here is
the excerpt from several weeks ago, it is from Israel National News dated 5/22....
"Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu vowed at the Mercaz HaRav yeshiva
in Jerusalem Thursday night that the Israeli flag will continue to fly
over the Western Wall (Kotel). The first prime minister in years to
appear at the venerable yeshiva on Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day), he
ignored U.S. President Barack Obama’s apparent trial balloon
that he wants to see the United Nations flag fly over the Old City holy
sites.
Jordan’s King Abdullah II said the president put forward the proposal during his visit to the White House last month.
Prime Minister Netanyahu declared, "The flag that flies over the Kotel
is the Israeli flag... Our holy places, the Temple Mount -- will remain
under Israeli sovereignty forever.”
Now isn't this interesting!? Especially in light of the comments (below) made by Obama in his recent speech in Cairo...
"For human history has often been a record of nations and tribes —
and, yes, religions — subjugating one another in pursuit of their own
interests. Yet in this new age, such attitudes are self-defeating.
Given our interdependence, any world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will inevitably fail."
"...when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and
Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham
to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra — (applause) — as
in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, peace be upon
them, joined in prayer. (Applause.)"
"In fact, faith should bring us together. And that’s why we’re forging
service projects in America to bring together Christians, Muslims, and
Jews. That’s why we welcome efforts like Saudi Arabian King Abdullah’s
interfaith dialogue and Turkey’s leadership in the Alliance of Civilizations."
Well, that sounds very utopian and lovely but I afraid it is also dangerously naive. I
for one am convinced Obama wants to be the one to finally bring peace
to the middle east and he wants the United Nations to play a large roll
in that plan. (The "Alliance of Civilizations" by the way is an initiative of the United Nations, so they are one in the same.)
Actually Jimmy Carter attempted this exact same thing... (remember the
Camp David accords.. and the photo ops with Anwar Sadat and Yasser
Arafat back in the 70s?) Carter however never had the charisma, the muslim family
background or the media backing that Obama does, so he might be able to
pull off what Carter could not. On the other hand with Netanyahu in
charge of Israel now this could very well counter some of the "Obama
effect".... but we shall see... this will be interesting to watch, that
is for sure!
Keep Watching, Bee
P.S. If you have not been there take a peek at the web site for the "Alliance of Civilizations"... especially notice the logo.. interesting huh?! http://www.unaoc.org/
