Tell Your Story
No matter where all of us old “Xangans” end up, for those of us in the Christian community we need to continue to tell our story! … And we need to tell the TRUTH of our story, the good, the bad, the indifferent, because you know what…. God hates a “poser”! He called them “white washed tombs full of dead men’s bones.” When we put a plastic christian mask on.. the light of Christ is never going to shine through that! Be “for real” and learn to deal not only with real pain and disappointment in yourself but the pain and scars of others. We ALL have a story….
Blessings, Bee
“We must learn to tell the story of our lives–how we impact others, how we’ve been damaged by others, how we feel about God–in order to disrupt the sinful attitudes and practices that still remain. Telling our stories requires us to face painful truths about ourselves. And once we’ve faced those truths, we will again feel the noble passions to love, to be, and to worship, passions planted in our hearts by God’s Spirit.” - Larry Crabb

Christian Counseling Resource
A dear lady at our church has begun a much needed counseling service. She has pulled together a group of mature believers and counselors that can help with all sorts of needs, from marriage, to abuse, to health stuff. It is a phone counseling ministry that is much cheaper than going to a regular counselor. Anyway… just thought I would forward this information in case there is anyone who does need to reach out and just talk to someone… I know this would be a good, and biblically sound resource.

Concerning Truth and Bitterness
“If the pattern of anger is not realized and confessed, repenting and asking forgiveness before God, the sinful anger continues taking root in our hearts as bitterness. In God’s Word, the Bible, we are cautioned to be “looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;” Hebrews 12:15.
Bitterness has a good memory of the past wrongs others have committed against us, and as we brood on them and rehash the situations, the memories grow larger and soon a spirit of resentment and bitterness becomes the pattern of our life. …Since the root feeds the rest of the tree, every branch of our lives and every fruit on each limb ultimately becomes poisoned.”
“We’re going to have to let truth scream louder to our souls than the lies that have infected us.”

God is forming and fashioning us for a purpose… and He has been since before we were born! (Psalm 139)
“The day that each person willingly accepts himself or herself for who he or she is and acknowledges the uniqueness of God’s framing process marks the beginning of a journey to seeing the handiwork of God in each life.”

Billy Graham and His Last Sermon
I thought this was really a good article…. so I thought I would share the link. I really share Graham’s burden for our country and the simple message of the cross.

Just a Reminder…
Today is a good day to focus on God’s control of the Universe. Things are not… and never will… spin out of His control. Don’t let anyone throw you into a panic and tell you otherwise! We can count on that fact and on His faithfulness! Here is an encouraging word from Pastor RoyBee
“Listen, you foolish and senseless people, with eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear. Have you no respect for me? Why don’t you tremble in my presence? I, the LORD, define the ocean’s sandy shoreline as an everlasting boundary that the waters cannot cross. The waves may toss and roar, but they can never pass the boundaries I set.”
Jeremiah 5:21“It’s awesome that in our generation we are now able to see things in the heavens, on the earth, under the earth and under the sea that no one else has ever seen except God and the angels. Our technology has gotten so developed that we can see deep into the heavens with wonderful clarity and see clearly into the cells and molecules of our bodies and even cut individual atoms with precision. Our scientists have helped us to see God’s handy work everywhere around us and yet they tell us that there is no God and that what we see and hear is just the result of a series of fortunate accidents. No wonder that God told Jeremiah to tell us that we are foolish and senseless people who can not see or hear. For generations we have blindly followed these experts without realizing that what they were also doing was turning us away from the Creator God who has given us life and kept us alive. We have stopped respecting the God of creation. We no longer fear his power or depend on him for life.
Now that God has been taken out of the way, we are stuck with trying to keep the world together ourselves. Instead of trusting God’s plan for creation we are doing our best to stop the heat that is melting our polar ice and are being told that if we don’t do something dramatic we will soon find ourselves overwhelmed by the rising seas. The God who created the earth tells us that there is no possibility that will ever happen. When God created the earth he also determined the everlasting boundaries that can never be crossed. The God who created the heavens and the earth knows exactly how to keep everything in balance so that what he has planned for the years ahead will happen exactly as he has described. The book of Revelation tells us that fearful days are coming because of our rebellion against him. Yes the seas may toss and roar, but they can never pass the boundaries that God has set. May the Lord help us to defend his truth by the way we teach and live.
