A Personal Note
Being Still?Ya know… life happens…. well, and I guess that is good considering the alternative.
But I would really kind of like it to slow down a bit… it is VERY difficult to write when I have a busy heart and mind! I really wanted to share some special things with you all that I have learned recently concerning the Lord’s death and resurrection… but I have to “be still” to get it all together and sit down and write!! Being still sounds so simple, but it is NOT!
Anyone have any tips or tricks they use to “be still”? How do you calm your heart and free your mind from racing about?Love, Bee

Blessings Bee! Your right it is hard at times to slow down from everything that goes on around us. A couple things I do to get there are: Worshiping the Lord with music and prayer….Turning off the compuer, TV and Phones….Especially the computer and TV, Radio, for a couple days even…..Phones also, just checking the voicemail or answer machine to make sure of any emergency calls….not returning any of those calls unless it is VITAL….At times I take a walk around our area, but is nice if I can get to a park, and really nice if it has a pond or lake!! I pack me a lunch, take my Bible with paper…The one thing that really helps during summer for me is making a trip into the country driving!! Driving in the country really helps me and then I usually pull over somewhere ( at times being led by the HS) usually has water-/lake, river, creek…and ponder there and I get quite before the Lord.
Hope some of things might give you an idea; if your not already doing these things. Have a bless week!

Great ideas Gail2!! I know just being at home sometimes and seeing all the stuff that needs to be done staring me in the face is enough to make my mind race!
Bless your heart, Bee! RYC: Thank you so much for dropping over! You’ve been a busy one, haven’t you! I’ll be praying that you get your fibro meds straightened out, and also for your daughter! I had a C-Section myself, and I know how difficult the healing process can be … I can’t imagine having gallstones on top of that! She’ll be in my prayers! I do hope you can get that spring garden in … I remember the raised bed photos you shared … it would be great to see those teeming with fresh veggies/and, or flowers! I’ll also be praying that you’ll find some quiet time for your writing! Matter of fact, I just heard a teaching on entering God’s rest … we need to separate ourselves from all our busy-ness for awhile, and get into His Word, and pray. In Hebrews it says we are to labor to enter His rest, and I know, from experience, that it’s not always easy to get there! But having His Word open and ‘exercising’ by reading it, brings me that rest, and peace that passes all understanding … it quiets and calms my mind! We tend to make it much more difficult for ourselves … when He provided a much easier way! Here are couple of scriptures that he shared in the teaching … I hope they help … they did me! I love how the Amplified breaks it down for us.
Matthew 11:29-30
(Amplified Bible) ‘Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good–not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.’
Galatians 2:20 (Amplified Bible)
‘I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.’
It’s nothing we have done, or can ever do, it is Christ in us who does the work … we just need to quit our own striving and let Him! You have a wonderful day, my friend! Know that you’re in my prayers! I’m going to go read some of your past posts that I’ve missed … they look very interesting, so look for more comments!

Thanks for your sweet reply Deborah… you are a precious xanga sister in Christ!
I loved the verses you shared! Love, Bee
If possibe I find something for my hands to do that does not need my mind. Weeding, washing dishes, folding laundry & so on. Then think about what needs to be thought about. The difficult part is remembering long enough to get to the computer to get it written down.
