Amen! That is a beautiful story. I’ve been in nursing homes quite a bit in recent years, “ministering” to people through music. It’s interesting to see how the elderly react. Some aren’t really “there” due to their medications, etc., but some are very coherent and appreciate, especially the old hymns, and they sing along. It’s a blessing to see their hearts encouraged through the music and knowing that you’ve brightened their day a bit. It’s also fun to sit and listen to them tell stories of when they were younger. They sure have a lot to share with us “younger folk”.
